About the Institute
The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta was the first IIM to be established. IIM Calcutta is an autonomous institute established in 1961. IIM Calcutta offers a wide array of Doctoral and Post Graduate programs. Apart from the academic programs, IIM Calcutta also conducts conferences, seminars, consultancy and research. IIM Calcutta is well known for its domestic and international placements with one of the highest salary averages in the industry. IIM is well known for its finance related courses and is one of the best finance schools in the world.

IIM Bangalore’s students mostly find their placements in prime multinational companies like ICICI, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, P&G, Hindustan Lever Ltd, Blackstone, Deloitte Consulting, Bain,BCG, McKinsey, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, HSBC, etc.
IIM Bangalore provides the following programs

1. Post Graduate Program for Manufacturing(PGPEX-VLM)
2. Post Graduate Program for Executives(PGPEX)
3. Fellow Program in Management (FPM)
4. Post Graduate Program MBA(PGDM & PGDCM)

Eligibility
A three years bachelor’s degree (with a minimum of 50% marks for Open Category and 45% for ST/SC, etc) from any well recognized university is the minimum requirement for admission to the foresaid courses. Students appearing for their final exams can also apply for the course under provisional eligibility. Provisional Eligibility student need submit a copy of their degree at the time admission is offered. Candidates also need to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) examination as these scores are required to shortlist the candidates.

Application Process

Once a candidate applies for the CAT, he/she becomes automatically eligible for the courses at IIM Bangalore. Students can apply for the CAT by paying Rs.1100 /- (Rs. 550 for SC/ST candidates) at any of the UTI Bank branches and obtaining an application form. Based upon their CAT scores successful candidates are called upon for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final selection of candidates is done based upon CAT scores, GD, personal interview and work experience. Successful candidates are then offered admission.
