IGNOU Courses Admission – MSW
The Indira Gandhi National Open University was established way back in 1985 by an act of parliament. IGNOU has just celebrated its silver jubilee in 2009 with the blessings of Smt. Pratibha Patil. IGNOU is the largest university in the world. Over the period of time, it has grown and got matured enough to serve almost 2.6 million students as well as 36 other countries.
IGNOU follows a three-tier system of evaluation:
1. Self evaluation through the course material and provided devices.
2. Continuous evaluation through theory and practical based assignments.
3. Term-end evaluation through final examinations and viva.
There are more than 600 examination centers for the students all over the world. They conduct examinations twice a year, in December and June.
MSW is one of the kinds of course offered by IGNOU. It comes under the school of social work department. This unique course is available in two major languages such as Hindi and English. This course will provide the trained social workers to the much-needed country. This specially designed course is also available in philanthropy.
The candidate must be a graduate or hold an equivalent or higher degree from a recognized institute.
The course duration is minimum two years and maximum of five years.
Generally IGNOU follows two different academic cycles like January session and July session. The notifications regarding admissions get released in May/June and the date of submitting forms will be 1st July to 30th September for January session and for July session, the dates will be 1st January to 31st March.

2nd year – Rs. 12,000/-
