About Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU)
Madurai Kamaraj University is one of the oldest South Indian universities imparting knowledge to Indian and foreign students in various technological, professional and business domains including BCA, BBA, MCA, MBA etc. Since its early years of establishment, it is struggling hard to come up with adept techniques to deliver quality education. Till now there are eighteen schools with 73 different departments. Dr. R. Karpaga Kumaravel is the acting director general of Madurai Kamaraj University.
BBA Admission guide
BBA is comparatively a newer stream in South India. MKU produced its first batch of BBA students at quite an earl decade, in comparison to its contemporary universities. The BBA stream is one of the core competencies of Kamaraj Univeristy.
BBA Eligibility Criteria
Students must pass Higher Secondary exam from any recognized school in India or abroad. They must preferably have Commerce as a combination in their 10+2 syllabus. This is though not a mandate, but will be a competence for the students.
BBA Course Srtucture
BCA course is of 3 years full time duration which is concisely divided into 6 semesters. English is the only medium of delivery. Some of the core BBA papers taught at MKU include – Principles of Management, Financial Accounting, Marketing management basics, Human Resource management, Costing and Management, Business English, Economics, Business Statistics etc.
Evaluation
At least 2 assignments per subject the semesters need to be completed for BBA course at MKU. These assignments cover: Subjective and Objective Questions, Case study, presentations, Laboratory Practical evaluations etc. There are 15 total credits per semester in BBA.
Qualifying Criteria
Minimum 35% marks in External Assessment (End Term Examination)
Minimum 35% marks in Internal Assessment
Minimum 40% overall aggregate
