JNU M.Phil Admission Entrance Exam Dates Form Eligibility


JNU M. Phil Admission 

Jawaharlal Nehru University was formed by the act of Indian parliament in 1969. The university was founded by Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru. JNU is located in New Delhi, India. JNU is generally a research oriented university which offers M. Phil, PhD in several streams. Jawaharlal Nehru University has a Different picturesque view inside the campus which makes a scenic view. In several locations of university have various birds and animals which make the campus an urban sanctuary. They provide free coaching facility to the student. The university campus covers 1000 acres area.
Eligibility for M. Phil Admission:
The university provides various M. Phil programs; the various programs are School of International Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, School of Social Sciences, School of Life Sciences, School of Environmental Sciences, School of Computer & Systems Sciences. Candidate with master degree with minimum 55 % marks in physical science, Bioinformatics, biological science, biochemistry, biophysics, microbiology, botany, biotechnology, genetics, pharmacology, physiology, physics, chemistry, and zoology.
Selection Procedure:
The university is basically organize entrance examination for M. Phil admission, The entrance examination is conducted in following places: Ahmadabad, Amritsar, aizawl, Bareilly, Agartala, Allahabad, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Calicut, Delhi, Dehradun, Chennai, Gangtok, Coimbatore, Gwalior, Goa, Guwahati, Pune, Puducherry, Gorakhpur, Hyderabad, Indore, Raipur, Jaipur, Shimla, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Noida, Lucknow, Imphal, Ranchi, Nagpur, Katihar, kohima, Vadodara, sambalpur  and shilong. After entrance examination selected candidate are called for interview and after clearing the round students are registered for admission to the program.

General information:
The university reserve 27% seats for OBC candidate, 15 % for SC, 7 % for ST candidate and 3 % reserved for physically handicapped candidate, Non creamy layer are compulsory for all categories except OPEN category.
