Administrative Head
Dr. R. Karpaga Kumaravel is the present administrative head of Madurai Kamaraj University.
Quality of education
Commerce department is one of the bright sides of the Kamaraj streams with proper people at proper positions through years. Some Masters in Commerce pass outs of MKU found relevant spot in the society, even abroad.
Boost for Research
Madurai Kamaraj University has maintained special funds allocated only for its students along with the teachers. Some of the original papers had been published in many home and foreign journals as well.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in BCom or BBA may apply. Students from other domains may apply to subject to University terms and conditions.
Admission Pattern
An admission test is conducted at different points of the MKU centers. Successfully screened candidates are called for a formal interview at the MKU premises itself, followed by the admission procedures.
Assignments
The course is divided into two full time years. The students are needed to complete multiple assignments per subject during every semester. These assignments cover: Analytical Questions (First half of the Syllabus), Analytical Questions, Case Study and Objective Questions.
Project Work
The final Pmust be submitted by each candidate individually for successful completion of the course.
Qualifying Criteria
This is the minimum to complete MCom degree from MKU:
Minimum 30% marks in External Assessment (End Term Examination)
Minimum 30% marks in Internal Assessment.
Minimum 40% overall aggregate
