Applications are invited for admission to TWO YEAR POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
with specialization in Marketing / HRD /
Finance / Operations Management / IT MBA (Intake - 46)
with specialization in International Business MBA (IB) (Intake - 46)
RESERVATION : SC: 15%; ST: 7.5%; PD: 3% and OBC : 27%
PAID SEATS : 10 (MBA 05 & MBA (IB) 05)
SUPERNUMERARY SEATS: Foreign Nationals: 15%

Who can apply
Candidates should have a bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern/ a degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or law/ a post graduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE. For SC/ST candidates, 45% marks is required. (Candidates should also fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements for appearing in CAT 2010)
Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by October 05, 2011 after completing all the requirements for obtaining the qualifying degree before June 30, 2011.
How to apply
Step 1: Candidates seeking admission to FMS-BHU will be required to purchase CAT 2010 (conducted by IIMs). For detailed information about CAT 2010, please visit www.catiim.in Selection will be made strictly on the basis of the combined Merit acquired by a Candidate in CAT 2010 of IIM, Group Discussion and Interview conducted by FMS, BHU.
The FMS, BHU uses CAT for short-listing the candidates for its two-year full time Post-Graduate Programmes in Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
Step 2: Candidates are also required to register at FMS, BHU through separate application form which has to be obtained from Faculty of Management Studies, BHU, Varanasi from September 1, 2010 either in person against crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) /Banker’s Cheque of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 650/- for SC/ST) till November 24, 2010 OR by post through a requisition along with Crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) of Rs. 1050/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST) and self-addressed envelope of 32x26 cm. till November 5, 2010 OR may be downloaded from the web site of BHU (www.bhu.ac.in). The downloaded application form must be submitted along with demand draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 650/- for SC/ST Category). The Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque should be drawn in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at SBI, BHU Main Branch (Code 0211). Completed application form be submitted to “The Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi – 221005” on or before November 25, 2010.

About BHU
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), is a Central university, located in Varanasi, India, which is also the largest residential university in Asia, with over 12,000 students living on its campus. BHU was founded in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and under the Parliamentary legislation, 'B.H.U. Act 1915'. The main force behind this University was Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. Born in an educated orthodox Hindu family at Prayag (Allahabad) in 1861, Madan Mohan Malaviya name to be recognized as an outstanding and noble son of India.
Banaras Hindu University conducts national level Undergraduate (UET) and Postgraduate (PET) entrance tests usually during May–June for admission to various courses. Admissions are done according to merit in the Entrance Tests, subject to fulfilling of other eligibility requirements. Admissions to B.Tech./B.Pharm., M.Tech./M.Pharm. are done through JEE and GATE respectively. Admission to MBA and MIBA are done through IIM-CAT score. Admissions for PhD. are done on the basis of either qualification of NET by the candidates or through the scores of CRET (common research entrance test). In addition to these admissions in IMS are done through PMT exam.
