Maharshi Dayanand University Admission Maharshi Dayanand University is located on the national highway 10 at a distance of 70 km Northwest of Delhi. It is having area of about 740 acres on the border of the historic city Rohtak. The university is name under the founder and great social reformer of Arya Samaj. University appeared in the year 1976 as a unitary and residential university with the aim to encourage higher studies in the field of ecological, life science, interdisciplinary research, and education.
In the year 1978, the overall picture of the University changed when all colleges in five districts of Haryana affiliated with this University and turned the University into a teaching cum affiliating University. During this arena, University has incepted 27 Postgraduate departments under 12 Faculties with 35 faculty members, the university has one university college, one directorate of distance education, one computer center and one post graduate Regional center at Rewari. Under the university more than 110 colleges are affiliated offering variety of courses to the students in humanities, commerce and management, science, Medical college, Agroha, Medical Research Institute and Dental College, Rohtak, State College of Engineering, Murthal are some of the premier institutes which are affiliated under this eminent University.
Since its inception, the University is continuously improving the standard of education in each course they offer to the students especially in the field of art, commerce and pure science. At the same time university also making sure they do not mold thing rapidly in the sphere of technical and professional education just to match current changing scenario.
