ADMISSION TO POST GRADUATE COURSES - 2011-12

Post Graduate Medical Education Programme

1) MD

2) MS 

Duration in years: 3 years

3) Diploma 

Duration in years: 2 years

Eligibility Criteria

Only those candidates, who satisfy or likely to satisfy the following relevant eligibility requirements for admission to Post Graduate courses will be considered eligible to appear for the BLDEU-PGET-2011 and subsequently for admission to the course.

Eligibility requirements to appear for BLDEU-PGET-2011 and admission to the medical Post Graduate Diploma and Degree Courses are:-

1) The candidates seeking admission to these courses should have passed MBBS from the college recognized by Medical Council of India.

2) As specified by Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate courses shall be:

a) General category 50 percent

b) SC/ ST & OBC (OBC as declared by Government of Karnataka from time to time) Category 40 percent

c) Candidates with 40 to 70% locomotor disability of lower limbs (as certified by competent issuing authority) category 45 percent.

3) The candidate should have completed the compulsory rotating internship / would be completing by 30th April 2011.

4) Foreign / PIO / NRI students are exempted from BLDEU-PGET-2011. Their admission will be based on qualifying examination marks.

1) Last date for downloading Applications 6th January 2011

2) Last Date to receive applications (Hard copy along with enclosures) 13th January 2011

3) BLDEU-PGET-2011 Entrance Examination Date and Time Sunday, 23rd January 2011, at 10.00 am to 1.00 pm

4) Result and Rank list Announcement 19th February 2011

5) First Round of Counseling & Admission 3rd March 2011

6) Second round of Counseling & Admission of seats subject to vacancies 12th April 2011

7) Commencement of Academic session 2nd May, 2011

Entrance Test Centers:

Bijapur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkota, Chennai and Mumbai.

Application forms can be downloaded from our website. Relevant information and data entry is to be made in the online application format by the candidate before generating the application form. Hard copy of the generated application form along with relevant enclosures, should be sent to the University.
