Banaras University was founded in holy city of Varanasi; in 1915 the university is made by under the act of parliamentary legislation. Banaras University is one of the largest reside University in Asia. University has the campus areas of around 1350 acres. University has the affrication of UGC, i.e. University Grant Commission. Till today around 15000 students are enroll in the Banaras Hindu University.

Eligibility for the Admission:

To get the admission in the MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B. Pharm programme of the University candidate must have to pass the 12th examination under the 10+2 education scheme form any state board. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are the compulsory subjects in the 12th examination. Minimum of 50% marks are required for the general category candidate to make eligibility for the admission. For reserved category candidates minimum marks required are 45%. Each faculty has the different number of seats. Seats reservation is given on the website of the University.

Admission Procedure:

The admissions for the MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B. Pharm programmes are carried out through the entrance examination. Eligible candidate are calls out for the entrance test which is conducted on national level. The entrance examination is conducted by the University itself. Examination will held after the declaration of the 12th standard result, generally in the month of June. For the entrance examination candidate must have to fill the application form which is available at the University office or can download from the website of the University. Questions ask in the examination are based on the Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Students have must to pass this examination for getting the admission in the Banaras University.
