Eligibility:

(Except for Biology/Biotechnology based admission to Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and B. Pharm-M. Pharm Practice programs)

Criteria of subjects in 10+2 exam: The minimum academic qualification for admission to any one of the programs is as laid down by AIEEE*.  The candidate should have a pass in the 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Computer Science as optional subjects.

·          Equivalent examination to 10+2

·          The 10+2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

·          Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.

·          Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

·          Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.

·          H.S.C. Vocational Examination.

·          A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.

·            3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Criteria of year of Qualifying Examination

·          Only those candidates are eligible to apply who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in the year 2008 or 2009; or

·          Those candidates appearing in the final examination of 10+2 or equivalent in 2010 are also eligible for consideration of provisional admission. All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authority latest by September 30, 2010 failing which, such provisional admission will stand cancelled. If the results in qualifying examinations are likely to be declared after September 30, 2010 the candidates are advised to seek admission next year as no representations for extension of dates for any reason whatsoever, shall be entertained.

Criteria for Date of Birth

·          Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1989 (Date of Birth as recorded in the High School/Secondary Education Board/University Certificate only will be taken as authentic) are eligible to apply for admission.

General Instructions on conditions of Eligibility

·          Candidates must produce certificate of proof of the above conditions at the time of counseling failing which they will be disqualified.

·          If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date after admission to the University, his/her admission will stand cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the candidates. The decision of the Admissions Committee of the University regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

Application Process (Applications for admission for Merit based on overall AIEEE Ranking)

The admissions to the above programs shall be made on the basis of overall merit in all India AIEEE -2010 examination. Candidates must therefore appear in the AIEEE-2010 conducted by the CBSE. Further, the candidates must also fill in the separate OMR based application form as provided. Candidate can opt for admission to any or all of the Institutes.

How To Apply:

Candidate can apply through any one of the three ways as follows:

·          Register Online (Using Demand Draft)

Log on to www.jiit.ac.in and click on – AIEEE Based Admissions 2010. Thereafter, candidate will be prompted to fill up the application and fill the details of the Demand Draft. A print out of the filled up application should be taken by the Candidate. Further, the Candidate must make a Xerox copy of same after affixing the photograph on the printout The Xerox copy should be retained for future reference if required. Further, a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 800/- should be made in favor of “Jaypee Institute of Information Technology” payable at Noida/Delhi. The print out of application along with DD should be sent to the Registrar, JIIT, Noida on the address provided below. Please do not forget to write the application ID number which would be automatically generated on successfully filling and freezing the form, behind the photograph and DD as applicable. Please also write “ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM” on the envelope before posting.

Register Online (Using Credit/Debit Card)

Log on to www.jiit.ac.in and click on – AIEEE Based Admissions 2010. Thereafter, candidate will be prompted to fill up the application and fill the details of the payment through credit/debit card. Once the payment has been successfully made the candidate shall be allotted Application ID number, which must be saved for future reference.

Obtain the Form from any of the Institutes/bank branches of IDBI bank listed in the advertisement and/or as per list provided on the web site by paying in cash. The form may also be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 800/- in favor of “Jaypee Institute of Information Technology” payable at Noida/Delhi, to the under mentioned address along with postal address to which application form and brochure need be posted.

Important to note.

·          It is mandatory to write AIEEE-2010 Roll number before submission of application form. Applications received without the AIEEE Roll Number shall be rejected and Candidate shall have no claim for the Merit list.

·          Candidates are required to ensure that the completed Application Form reaches on or before the last date i.e. 23   April, 2010. Applications received after the last date will not be accepted and Candidate shall have no claim for the Merit list.

·          The candidate who procures the brochure and application form after payment of Rs 800/-, is not required to make any further payment while submitting the application form.
