Amity University is a private university established in Uttar Pradesh under a special act by Uttar Pradesh Government. It is the first Indian University to receive the prestigious ASIC, UK accreditation. ASIC is one of the two bodies defined by UK government for accreditation of private universities/institutions providing higher education. The university has been in the many controversies lately. For example, the university is not approved by AICTE and University Grant Commission has refused to recognize the university, if this wasn't enough, there was an international arrest warrant drawn against founder and president of the university, Mr. Ashok Chauhan. Despite of all such controversies, college has always managed to provide quality education and thus keeping its rank high in the list.

The Amity University offers various courses in many different faculties. Out of these various courses we will have a look at BA admission procedure. To be eligible for getting admission in BA course in Amity University, one has to pass certain eligibility conditions: -

Candidate must have passed HSC from any recognized university or state board in India under 10+2 educational scheme.

A candidate must be having min 70% marks in HSC examination in the subject of English.

No entrance exam is conducted for providing admissions to the BA course in Amity University. Thus students can feel free to get admission directly. Application form for the admission can be procured from university's web site or alternatively it can also be purchased from admission offices of university. The admission form may cost you Rs. 1100; some relaxation is provided for reserved category students. Students have to submit all the valid documents along with application form and after last day of submission merit list is formed according to which admissions are provided. Students have to pay Rs. 0.28 lacs under fee purpose at the time of taking admission.
