UPPGMET Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test

UPPGMET Entrance Examination

UPPGMET is the short form of ‘Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test’. The State of Utter Pradesh performs the examination for admission of MS, MDS, MD, and PG diploma. The exam is performed in the following medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh like Kanpur, Meerut, Jhansi, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, and Agra. The Uttar Pradesh Unaided Medical College Welfare Association invites application of the medical entrance test. It is commonly known as the UPPGMET. All India students find admission after giving the entrance test. 615 seats are obtainable for admission of all the postgraduate medical colleges.

Eligibility for the UPPGMET Entrance Examination
The candidates have to complete the MBBS course from any college recognized by the Medical Council of India. The student has to complete the internship prior to giving the entrance examination. For the NRI medical council of India should approve student above stated criterion. Cut off marks are 50 % for GC and 40 % for the SC, ST, and OBC.

Admission Procedure
Candidate will get the admission form through their official website. Application form should be downloaded or filled online from the website and put forward the form having subsequent documents: Xerox copy of the MBBS mark sheet, 10th-12th mark sheet, internship completion certificate, caste certificate in case of ST, SC or OBC candidates with four photographs.

General Information 
Entrance test is accomplished in the month of March every year and time of the examination is usually 3 to 6 pm. Examination paper has 250 objective types of multiple-choice question. This exam has the negative marking system. The entrance test is of 500 marks and the answers should be written with black ballpoint pen.  If any applicant gets equal percentage of marks then the rank of the candidate will be determined on basis of the birth date. Higher age applicant will be positioned on higher merit. Entrance examination is organized in the month of March with results declared in the April.
