Application form can be submitted online through the University website www.pondiuni.edu.in Send the hard copy of application (in A4 size) along with the original bank challan for the prescribed fee to The Deputy Registrar (Academic II )

BY POST:

For Application Form by post write with course name to

along with a self addressed envelope of size 32cm x 25cm, stamped for Rs.90/-.Request for application must be superscribed on the envelope “Request for application form for admission...” (course name)

In Person:

The application form can also be obtained from the Pondicherry University Staff Co-operative Credit Society at the University campus on payment of the cost of the application form plus Rs. 10/- as service charge.

Application Fees:

For all courses Rs.100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/ ST, exempted for physically and visually challenged candidates - supported with relevant certificates). Use separate applications for each programme.

Selection Process:

Selection will be based on entrance examination

Reservation:

Reservations for OBC/ SC/ ST, Differently abled and Puducherry students will be applicable to the extent indicated in the Prospectus.

About Pondicherry University

Pondicherry University is a Central University in Pondicherry, India. Founded in 1985 by the Government of India, it is an affiliating University with a jurisdiction spread over the Union Territories of Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It has 25,000 students in its 57 affiliated colleges in addition to 1,600 students enrolled on the main campus and another 27,000 students in the distance education mode. Pondicherry University Admission 

Pondicherry University is marvelous among the central universities of the nation. University prime focus is towards teaching and research functions. Moreover, it has affiliated colleges in places like Karaikal, Yanam, Mahe, Puducherry and in the Union Territory Andaman & Nicobar Islands. In the near future, another Union Territory Lakshadweep is expecting to have a college under the affiliation of Pondicherry University. In the year 1985 Pondicherry University appeared and having some unique features under the belt. Pondicherry University have worked very hard to provide facilities for studies in French and offer subjects like humanities and science, to take suitable actions for endorsing interdisciplinary research and studies.

People here at this region come from diverse culture and tradition. Language spoken here are Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, English, French, Bengali and Telugu. The main campus of the university is located in an area of about 780 acres on either side. UGC (University Grants Commission) fully supports the functionality of the university. Pondicherry University is also the member of educational bodies like Association of commonwealth Universities and AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

The numbers of teaching faculty are around 180 active and some scholar from different schools, departments and centers.  Presently, more than 1600 students enrolled under the PG and Doctorate programme and came here across the nation for fulfillment of their dreams. University is well organized for effective functioning. Teaching and research work is carried out in schools that assist and encourage inter disciplinary work.  Each school conducts teaching programmes in definite subjects under several departments. 

Under the university, more than 68 colleges are affiliated and they are continuously working to improve the standard of education and the level of teaching. As there is not many university in the region so people of the area is trying to get the best possible education via this university.
