Candidates should have studied under 10+2+3 or 10+3+2 or
10+1+4 pattern.
Candidates who are undergoing the VI semester / III year
(Non - Semester) of the course with or without arrears are
eligible to apply
SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of
Registration Fee for any one course only. For additional
courses applied, Registration Fees should be paid.
However, they have to send the Xerox copy of the Community Certificate along with the application.
Non-resident Indians and foreign nationals may also apply (Separate quota is available).
Students should write their name, complete address and course for which applied in Block letters on the reverse side of the demand draft

About Madurai Kamraj University:
Madurai Kamraj University was established in 1966 and named after the ancient city of Madurai which was capital of Pandyan Rulers. It is located in Madurai city in southern Tamil Nadu district in India. The nucleus of the university was Extension Center of Madras University in city of Madurai. Two years later, President of India inaugurated new campus from 13km west of the city.
In 1978, in the honor of Mr. Kamraj, university’s name was changed to Madurai Kamraj University. The campus of the university has been developed to form a beautiful university township. It occupies an area of around 750 acres and also known as “Palkalai Nagar”.
The University is affiliated to 109 colleges which also include 9 Autonomous including official institutions and 7 evening colleges. It has 18 schools which include around 72 departments. There are centers which encourage and promote research potential of the teachers. It is very innovative activity taken under by University and is really appreciable. The university has got excellent success rate which definitely proves quality of students as well as teachers.
The DDE i.e. Directorate of Distance Education was established in 1971. There are over 1.20 lakhs students that are taking benefit of it. It has over 29 Sports Admission Centers and 16 Information Centers located in the state. The university is also active out of Tamil Nadu and has established 73 Study centers across the country. Above all, it has 10 Study Centers outside country.
These activities and excellent teachings method of the university have been paid-off by UGC as they declared Madurai University as ‘University with potential for Excellence’. University College is very well known for biological researches and also offers specializations in the field of mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. Department of Management studies stands 12th among the top management institutes in the country.
