St. Xavier's College Calcutta BA Admission

The St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta was founded in the year 1860 by Catholic Minority Religious Body to provide education and cultural need for minority group in Christian religion in Calcutta.  With the progress done by the body, college kept growing. More and more students started taking admission to this college. However, students from various caste and creed are eligible to take admission in courses offered in this college.

The St. Xavier’s College Calcutta, offers UG ad PG course in all streams. Apart from it, college also offers professional courses under career oriented and IGNOU convergence scheme and computer centre.  The main objective behind this school is to provide quality education and financial support for studies to economically backwards students.  This college provides financial assistance, scholarship and book facility.

The BA course offered by these colleges provides students with in-depth knowledge in various fields. BA course is offered in English, Communicative English, Political Science, Sociology, Hindi, Elective Bengali, History and Film Studies.

Eligibility for BA Admission:

• Students must be 10+2 pass out with at least 50% from recognized state board in Calcutta.

• Student, who wants to take up English (Hons), must bring 45% in English in 10+2.

• Student should take up English subject in 10+2 to be eligible for admission.

Application form for the BA course:

The application form the course is available online and student should fill different form for different subjects.  The form can be submitted online by paying the fees separately. Student need to submit the acknowledgement and admit card along with the payment slip.
