Course Offered :
The College has 19 Honours departments in the day section which offer 11 courses in Humanities and 7 courses in Science streams and a course in Accountancy Honours in Commerce stream. In addition to these, the morning section offers Honours Course in Education.
General Courses in B.Sc. and B.Com. are offered in day section and General Courses in B.A. is offered in morning section.
The college offers post-graduate courses in Geography, Bengali and French.
General Information :
The applicants Can not apply for more than THREE (3) Honours subjects. However, they can apply for TWO (2) General Stream (B. A. General / B. Sc. General / B.Com General) in addition to their application for the respective Honours courses.
Application for admission does not guarantee enlistment. Only VALID applications will be considered.
Cut-off Marks in GENERAL Courses :
For General Applicants : 150 (Best 5 Subjects) (30%)
For SC/ST/PC Applicants : 150 (Best 5 Subjects) (30%)
10% and 5% of the ‘Best 5 Marks’ would be deducted for all the applicants passing in 2009 and 2010 respectively. (Show Both)
Reservation of seats for SC / ST / PC candidates will be as per the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A Certificate from a competent authority must be produced for claiming such reservation. No applicant will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation.

Located on the west bank of river Ganga, upon a picturesque strand built by the erstwhile French rulers of the town, Chandernagore College is one of the fourteen degree colleges in West Bengal run directly by the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal. Courses are offered in Science, Humanities and Commerce streams, including post-graduate courses in Geography and Bengali. A professional course in Computer Science has recently been introduced.
