Symbiosis International University
Symbiosis International University was established in the 2002 which is a private co-educational University. It is located in the Pune city, which is well known as ‘Homeland of Education’, situated in state Maharashtra. NAAC has given A grade to the university and it is approved by UGC and AICTE. It has motto ‘The world is one family’ and it is followed by this University which is managed by Symbiosis Society.
The society was founded in 1971 to help increase interaction between foreign and Indian students. It was given autonomous grade in year 2002 and since then it has opened many institutes associated to it. Symbiosis society opened their first institute under their management which was affiliated to Pune University.
In 2002, it gained “Deemed to be University” status by MHRD but due to excellence in academic field, they are honored as “Symbiosis International University”. University offers over 70 programmes including 117 courses by its institutes. Various categories offered at institute are Telecom Management, Law, Computer Studies, Health Science and much more.
Society has numerous campuses on different locations spread across city, state and one campus located at Banglore. Every campus has multiple institutes which offer academic studies of different subjects like IT, Business management, etc. They are looking forward to establish campuses at Hyderabad, Noida outside state and two more around home city. Overall, it has 19 institutions affiliated to it till date.
There are over 45,000 Indian and foreign students who are taking their degrees from these institutes and over 1, 00,000 students are hosted off-campus. students who have enrolled to various courses belong to 64 countries across the world. To get admission in the University, participant must crack SET which is an entrance test for undergraduate courses and SNAP which is an aptitude test for post-graduate courses. All campuses of the University are well equipped with all essential facilities.
