Top Aerospace Institutes in India
With rapid modernization, the importance of aviation industry is increasing day by day. For someone to travel a very long distance in very short time the only option is to fly in an aircraft and thus its demand is increasing all over the world. So, many aircrafts are produced nowadays with different features and comforts and for different uses.
Thus, with this rising demand there is a need of engineers who have knowledge in manufacturing or maintenance of aircrafts. Thus, to meet this demand there is several institutes which deal with course in aeronautics. Basically, in aerospace institutes there can be two courses one for an aeronautical engineer who involves in manufacturing of aircraft and the other for maintenance engineer. An institute may offer both or any one course to a student. The institute which offers course for maintenance engineering requires a current and valid approval from Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
This is a very vast course and standard of all institutes who offers this course are good. It is really difficult to point out the best or top colleges in many respects. The primary thing that is required in this course is a good practical experience or knowledge which is provided adequately by most of the institutes.
List of some of the best aerospace institutes in India are:
• Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), in various cities of India
• Hindustan Aviation Academy, Bangalore
• VSM Aerospace, Bangalore
• School of Science and Aviation Technology, Delhi
• Nehru College of Aeronautics & Applied Science, Coimbatore
• National Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Dehradun
• Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad
• Amity Institute of Aerospace Engineering And Research Studies, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh
• Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi
• Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh
There is a very good scope for students in this field in future. In present scenario India is developing rapidly in Aviation Industry and considering the fact that soon there could be a scenario that India may not depend much on foreign countries in manufacturing of an aircraft the demand for engineers in Aviation will increase.
