About the Institute
Founded by Prof. P S Mani Sundaram and Bharat Ratna Shri C. Subramaniam in august 1984 in partnership with BHEL, the Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) is one of the first management institutes in India. BIM’s MBA program is one of the most sought after programs in the entire country. BIM aims to provide its students with a real world learning experience and for precisely this reason the curriculum at BIM is kept relevant and modern in accordance with the changing needs of the industry. BIM is ranked No. 10 in Top Govt. Aided B Schools by Outlook. Since its first batch BIM has managed to secure 100% placements and the recent batch had an average salary of approximately seven lakhs. BIM offers a two year full time MBA course with specializations in Human Resources, Finance and Marketing.

Currently the admissions to 2010-2012 MBA courses are open.

Eligibility
Candidates applying for the MBA course need to have at least a bachelor’s degree(with a minimum of 50% marks) or a post graduate degree from any well recognized university. Students appearing for their final exams can also apply for the course. In addition candidates also need to appear for the CAT examination as the CAT scores are required to shortlist the candidates.

Application Process

Applicants can apply online through BIM’s website and pay Rs.1520 through credit card (Rs. 1000 for SC/ST) or Rs. 1400 (Rs. 920 for Sc/ST) through demand draft. Prospectus and Application form can also be obtained by sending a demand draft worth Rs. 1400 to BIM admissions office at Tiruchirappalli. Application forms are also available at selected Axis Bank branches, Career launcher and IMS study centers. The demand draft should be payable at Tiruchippalli and should be in favor of Bharathidasan Institute of Management. All payments made are non refundable.

The last date for submission of forms was March 06, 2010.
