About the Institute
Delhi University’s oldest business school, The Faculty of Management is one of the top ten b-schools in India. It was founded in 1954 by Prof A Dasgupta under the Delhi School of Economics and back then its professors were trained from Stanford Business School. The FMS is well known for its finance and marketing programs. Rather than concentrating business management, the FMS concentrates more upon management education.FMS offers the following programs at its Northern and Southern Campus at Delhi University:-
MBA HCA Part time
MBA MS Full Time
MBA Part time
MBA Full time
Doctoral Program
Management Development
This year’s intake capacity for the MBA program is one hundred sixty six candidates.
Eligibility
Candidates applying for the above mentioned courses need to have pursued at least a three years bachelor’s degree in any of the following streams
Post Graduate Degree (minimum 60%)
Engineering, Medicine (minimum 60%)
Mathematics (minimum 60%)
Science (minimum 55%)
Social Science, Commerce, Arts (minimum 50%)
from any well recognized university. Students appearing for their final exams can also apply for the course.
Application Process
Most of the leading newspapers carry the FMS admission advertisement around September or October. These advertisements carry all the information regarding the sale of application forms, the last date of submission, etc. Applicants need to fill in the Application forms which are available over the counter at FMS or online at www.fms.edu at a reasonable fee. Duly filled application form has to be sent to FMS at Delhi University. Applicants are called for a written test. Successful candidates are called for an group discussion, ex-tempore and an Interview. Applicants are thoroughly scanned during all the phases and a final list of successful applicants is put up to whom admission is offered. At the time of admission all candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 10,450/-.
