Anna UniversityAnna University was established in the year 4th September 1978. It offers higher education in the engineering and technology stream. Courses offered:
• Bachelors in various science streams from B.Tech to Aeronautical Engineering each with 4 years of courses and the admission is purely based on the ranks which is obtained in Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (TEA). And all the admission process ends on the last date of May.
• Apart from engineering, it also offers post graduate courses like MBA and masters in various engineering streams. The admission for this too is also depends on the TEA ranking
• The university also offers masters in philosophy in various streams like chemistry, mathematics, physics etc.
Eligibility:
As stated above the candidates are being selected for engineering courses on the basis of TEA ranking. However, the candidate must hold the degree certificate of engineering course of any stream. The eligibility for MBA course the candidates should have the degree certificate from any streams.
Apart from this Anna University also offers distance learning. It offers distance learning in the MBA and MCA courses and also started offered M.Sc degree programmes in computer science and software engineering.
