The University of Delhi is one of the pioneer in its own it is known for its high standard of teaching and research. Most of the high profile colleges in Delhi are being affiliated with the DU. at present there are around 14 facilities 86 departments and 79 colleges all over the Delhi. DU has 15 libraries. University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC) does have number of sophisticated research instruments.

DU offers number of courses right from advance diploma courses to the B.A, B.Sc and other management courses. Apart from the management courses it also offers diploma in various languages which includes foreign languages.

Admission procedure:

The admission procedure for undergraduate programmes has improved a lot as student had to go highly tedious process. At present DU has computerized system. Under this system a candidate can use the pre-admission form to excersie in the desired courses. Other than this DU from the last few years has introduced the system of Open Days, where DU official’s offers information on the courses and admission process and also helps in clarify the doubts. It also has introduced the reservation system for physical disability.

DU also known for its extra curriculum activates weather it is sports or any other inter-college competition it has a good reputation for sports along with academic year. The month of October and November is being reserved with various college festivals.
