About the University
Anna University provides PG Diploma courses as a part of their distance learning program. It is a recognized university from Coimbatore which offers courses on distance learning for the graduates from home or any other recognized university. It was placed tenth in Indian ranks by Outlook India magazine in 2007.

Recognized as a Quality Education
2002 was the embarking year for Anna University to get affiliated by GOI for imparting distance learning courses. 

Eligibility for PG Diploma

Any respective graduation degree 

Evaluation Procedure 
It is accomplished by an objective type exam conducted at the University as per the schedule fixed. The evaluation criteria and procedure are quite simple & easy. The checking is done digitally under eligible professor’s supervision. 

Candidates are given weighted performances on basis of their assignments, projects, internships and presentations which are conducted at least thrice during each semester. The weights so given are - For internal evaluations – 35% and for the end semester exams – 75 % respectively. 

Assignments
Internal assignments and pilot projects are one of the most crucial parts of evaluation in any Post Graduation level, be it a degree or diploma course. It has been made mandatory to complete 5 assignments for each semester.

Pilot Projects
The basic objective of any pilot project work is to gain practical insight and learning. Anna University boosts student projects in virtual teams so that it helps in efficient team building spirits among the students. It is a mandate to undergo pilot project works for each student and submit the same to the University within specific deadlines.

Qualifying Criteria
For qualifying as a Post Graduate Diploma under Anna University norms, a candidate must score at least in this way - 45% minimum in External semester, 35% Minimum in Internal tests and at least 55% in the Overall Performance.
