Program details
The BCom course at IGNOU has a span of 3 years minimum and a maximum of 8 years depending on one’s convenience. The specialization is categorized as:
• Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Accountancy and Finance
• Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Financial and Cost Accounting
• Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Corporate Affairs and Administration
Age is not a restriction. BCom Course is offered in English or Hindi only.
Eligibility Criteria
I. A minimum of 10+2 (or equivalent) pass grade
II. Passed Common Proficiency Test/PE-1/Foundation from ICAI, and
III. Registration in Professional Competency Course/PE-ll/intermediate of ICAI (OR) Already passed Professional Competency Course/PE-I I/Intermediate of ICAI
Course Structure:
The entire BCom course division is as follows:-
I. Foundational Courses 24 credits
II. Elective Courses 64 or 56 credits
III. Application Oriented Courses 8 or 16 credits
Pass Criteria
To successfully complete the degree one must attain 96 credits over the course span. Not more than 32 credits are imparted in a year.
