Madurai Kamaraj University
Madurai Kamaraj University was founded in the year 1966 and currently has 18 schools. The department of distance learning of the university has got the strength of 1.30 lakh. Currently the university has got more than 109 colleges including approved institutes and 7 schools.
The university offers wide range of courses right from information technology courses to diploma to pre-diploma courses. Along with the respected courses it offers DDE (Directorate of distance learning) which is accreted by DEC New Delhi.
Some of the silent features of DDE are mentioned below:
• If a candidate needs admission on the spot then he can avail to director office in any admission centers in TN.
• Admission is being conducted twice a year.
• Practical training for courses like M.Sc and tourism and hospitality courses.
• Those candidates who want to learn additional course can also get the admission.
• Students who are 3 yr diploma holders through polytechnic may also join the degree course.
The main objective of the DDE is to:
• To spread higher education in distance.
• To provide learning opportunity for working students.
• To provide education for mass in a low fees.
Admission process:
Candidate can apply their application form from any centers of Annamalai University. Fees for every application are different and it keeps changing. Candidate ahs to apply for change in subject within 3 months from date of admission or else they will be not be accepted.
