About the University
Lingayas University was established by Lingaya's Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha in 1998. The aim and object of this University is to promote studies and research new things. The main focus of University is professional education in the field of Engineering, Computer Technology and Management.
University offers B. Tech programme for the following main courses.
• Automobile Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Computer Science & Engineering
• Information Technology
The duration of this programme is four years.
Eligibility:
The applicant candidates should have passed Senior School Certificate Examination of C.B.S.E. or Indian School Certificate Examination of council for I.S.C.E. and securing 60% marks or more than that in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Or the prospect student should have passed State Diploma Examination of three years. Minimum aggregate 55% marks are required for open student and for 45% marks for SC/ST students.
Criteria for Admission:
The evaluation of students for B. Tech course is strictly done with the base of merit in the entrance exam which is conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. There are about 700 seats in B. Tech course of Thapar University.
Documents Required:
Prospect student should have following documents. Students are required to come with original as well as attested photo copies.
- Class XII mark sheet.
- Leaving Certificate of respective institute.
- Birth Certificate.
- Domicile Certificate.
- Other Certificate (if required).
Qualifying Criteria:
• Minimum 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science at 10+2 level
• Minimum 20% marks in All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) for Open Category
• Minimum 15% marks in All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) for Reserved Category
