CCS University, Meerut Admission In the year 1965, Chaudhary Charan University was established which was formally known as Meerut University, to serve the needs of higher education in Uttar Pradesh. Very soon, this university is going to complete its golden jubilee. The university is the foremost educational hub of the country having vast playground, pollution free campus, botanical garden, huge statue of late Prime Minister Chaudhary. Charan Singh, full fledges Gymnasium, well-equipped computer center, great Library, Separate hostel facility for both boys and girls and many more things.
University provides residential facility to its faculty members and the administration staff. Canteen facility, banking and post office facility also provided to them. University has a separate engineering building, which is offering courses related to B.Tech in separate branches of engineering. In 1969, university started M.Phil programme and became the first university to introduce M.Phil programme.
Since then the university is growing with a steady rate. In the eighth five-year plan, self-financing courses was on move with the changing needs of the society. Now in the campus, there are five faculties with 35 self financed/job oriented courses and two UGC sponsored. With 252 Professional Colleges, 109 institutions and 1 constituent college are affiliate under Chaudhary Charan Singh University.
Today Prof. S.K.Kak is handing the post of Vice Chancellor of the university. Under his great leadership Skills University has grown immensely and now university is offering various innovative courses for postgraduate, under graduate, diploma, advance diploma, postgraduate diploma in the field of Social Science, humanities, remote censoring and many more.
All those courses are under the pattern of semester systems. The involvement of students has raise drastically due to quizzes, seminars and tests. Today, academic program is not just about attending regular classes but also to do practical assignments, computer labs, group discussions, attending seminars, giving presentation, guest lecturers has also become a part of those courses.
