Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is a pioneer institution for technical education. They university has rich academic and research oriented courses. Under the graduate program, university offers courses in more than 25 streams. Major branches of the university are Automobile, Information Technology, Electrical, and Mechanical, Aeronautical, Biotechnology, Instrumental and control, Electronics, civil, Bio medical and many more. Under the PG program, university offers more than 77 courses namely MSIT, MBA, Msc, MCA, M.Tech.
Entry to the PG courses like MBA and MCA is possible only after the aspirant scores good in the ICET examination. Admission to M.Tech is totally based how you score of GATE or the entrance exam conducted by the university. For research programs, rules for admission are very rigid. M.Phil is offered to PG students only after successful interview taken by the team of expertise.
Library of the university is having 20000 books and subscribes to 95 technical journals and periodicals. After all “reading makes the man wise”. University also has audio-visual library with color T.V and VCR with video tapes on varied subjects. The library is one of its kind in the whole country not many university is having such facility for the students in the entire world. It has well equipped computer lab, which enables students to know the current affairs, take reference notes, subject learning in details and submitting the presentation and assignment within the prescribed deadlines in a well and detailed format.
JNTU has collaboration with organizations like BHEL, South Central Railway, NTPC, ONGC, Airport Authority of India and many others.
