Doon University M.A Communication

Doon University was established by government of Uttarakhand in the year 2005 with its Act No-18 (2005) and accepted by the UGC under the 12(B) as state government university. It is a completely residential university. The vision of this University is to turn into a centre of excellence with selected areas of studies. The medium of the instruction in this university is English. Every year, applications are requested from the eligible students for admission in following courses being offered by various schools of the Doon University. M.A. in Communication has 40 seats available. The Integrated 5- year program in M.A. Communication has 60 seats. 

Eligibility

The candidates need to have Graduation having any subject from any recognized university having minimum 50 % marks (45 % for the SC/ST categories according to the state government rules. For Integrated program in M.A. in communication, the candidate needs to have 10+2 with any subjects from any accepted board having 50 % marks (45 % for the SC/ST with other categories according to the state government rules.

Examination Centre 

The admission in University is on basis of the admission test accomplished by University, except in case of the M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration) course. The centres include Srinagar, Dehradun, Haldwani, Delhi, Lucknow, Almora, Shillong, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Jorhat, Guwahati, and Bhopal.

Admission Procedure

Prospectus with the application form may be found through post by submitting the bank draft of the Rs 650/- to general categories or Rs 350/- to SC/ST candidates. It should be payable at Dehradun favoring Doon University, at Dehradun. The forms will be available from University office at Kadarpur Campus or at Punjab National Bank in Ashley Hall branch by paying Rs 600/- or Rs 300/-. The completely filled application form should be sent to the Coordinator, at Doon University, in kedarpur, PO Ajabpur, in Dehradun.
