BITS-Pilani – Dubai, also known as BPD, is branch campus of globally reputed BITS-Pilani, India. It was recognized in September 2000 at Dubai in alliance with ETA Ascon Star-Group, for the growing requirements of quality Engineering education amongst the residents of Middle East. BITS-Pilani started Dubai Campus with authorized approval of Ministry of HRD as well as the UGC (University Grants Commission), Government of India.
BITS-Pilani, BITS-Pilani - Dubai and the Goa campus, are awarded 'A' Grade by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), which is an autonomous body recognized by the UGC ad Government of India, scoring highest points amongst all the private accredited universities of India.
This Institution has made enormous progress in last 10 years getting phenomenal growth as well as innumerable accolades. BPD's student muscle has increased to over 1700, with the students seeking admission from UAE, other Middle-East Countries, India, and other countries of the world.
BPD provides Engineering Programs at undergraduate level with seven diverse specializations. All programs are having 4-years duration and 7½ months Internship, in the reputed industries, which is included in the 4 years. There are almost 274 companies providing Internship to students at present with numerous companies coming every day. Students are paid stipend throughout the internship.
BPD Graduates are recruited through campus placements as well as on their individual initiative, by over 300 prestigious companies worldwide. The companies include big names like Microsoft, Sony Ericsson, Oracle, etc in the USA, Seimens, J.Ray Mc Dermott, MAERSK, Steinweg Sharaf, Emirates Airlines, Standard Chartered Bank, Mott Mac Donald, etc in the UAE, Infosys, DELL, Wipro, Tata Consultancy, Baker Hughes, etc in the India and numerous other international corporations in various countries.
