Central Agricultural University
Central Agricultural University was recognized on the 26 January 1993 having headquarters in Imphal, which is capital of Manipur underneath Central Agricultural University Act 1992 for Parliament Act No. 40 in 1992. This university has the jurisdiction over states of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Sikkim.
Director of the instruction is accountable for the planning, management and supervision of the academic programs of university in different faculties. As per authorization, this university has recognized constituent colleges, in faculties of the sectors like agriculture, home science, fisheries, forestry & veterinary, horticulture and animal science. The college in faculty of the agricultural Engineering as well as inter- disciplinary post-graduate colleges are in process of having established. These colleges are extended in different states of NE Region under jurisdiction of university.
Academic Features

• Girl students comprise 43 % for total student population.
The university chases the semester system for education having 10-point scale grading. It has the internal-cum-external system for examination and evaluation. University has accepted model academic regulations as well as syllabi, projected by Indian council for Agricultural Research or Veterinary council of India having some minor changes for suiting the regional needs.
