Central University of Gujarat is a non-affiliating university centered on the research as well as inventive teaching processes. The courses of every program might be grouped like follows:
• Core Courses: These courses will be in subject of the specialization in the Under Graduate or Post Graduate program with their status of the national as well as international knowledge.
• Elective Courses: These courses might be selected by students according to their ability from the center or school of the University or outside of university.
• Supportive Courses: These courses might be for soft skills, and life skills including personality development, communication, etc.
• Social Orientation Courses: The courses might offer value to the students like the environmental conservational, national integration, democratic value etc.
CBCS (Choice Based Credit System)
CBCS is the stretchy system of learning. ‘Credit’ defines quantum of the contents or syllabus arranged for the course and decides number of hours for instruction needed. The individual features of the CNCS are follows:
• Learn with the own pace
• Select electives from extensive range of optional courses provided by university departments
• Undergo extra courses and get more than necessary number of credits
• Adopt the inter-disciplinary approach of learning
• Make best utilize of expertise of accessible faculty
They might be encouraged in taking other courses diverse from the discipline of study. The students might also be confident in taking courses from the other Central Universities depending on the credit transfer.
