Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ)
Central University of Jharkhand originated under the Central Universities Act on 1 March 2009. President of India had given the assent to Central Universities Act, 2009, which envisages the establishing as well as incorporating universities to teach and research within different states.
The provisional campus of University is situated at Brambe, 25-kilometer away from the Ranchi City. It is gorgeous campus with rolling grounds and green trees of about 45 acres. They are intended to make a lively green campus, changing what we come into today into the stunning environment of color as well as quality life within one year or so.
Ranchi has become an educational hub for Jharkhand having numerous prominent schools, colleges and institutes for higher learning like Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi University, National Institute of Foundry Technology, Central Institute of Psychiatry, Indian Institute of Management, Birsa Agricultural University, etc.
When the State Government of Jharkhand will allot land for stable campus, the work will start in making a campus, which makes the students proud at national as well as international level. Though, the location of stable campus is not fixed yet and might be anywhere in the Jharkhand.
The Central University of Jharkhand is spotlighted on the research as well as inventive teaching-learning processes. The University provides 5-year Integrated Courses, which are cautiously designed to convene multidisciplinary requirements of CBCS (Choice-based Credit system) across the 10 Semesters. In the CBCS, any student enrolling for the Mathematics degree is having an option of taking the optional Paper for the Credits, for instance, Mass Communication. Therefore, a student might opt for the credit course through any Central University.
