C.U. Shah Arts College, Ahmedabad
C. U. Shah is a one of the most prominent colleges located at Ahmedabad. The college is established in 1960 as “City of law and arts college” to provide good quality arts education. In 1976 the college received huge amount of donation from C. U. Shah Family for development of college,hence they renamed the college as “C. U. Shah Arts College”. The college has affiliation with Gujarat University and is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The instituteconsists of 38 educational units and every year the college gives admission to around 32620 students. The college offers several post graduate and undergraduate courses.
Eligibility for under graduate students:
Candidate must have to complete higher secondary examination from Gujarat board to eligible for admission or equivalent from any disciple.
Eligibility for post graduate students:
Candidate who have completed graduation from psychology are eligible for admission. (In this college only psychology subject is available for post-graduation.)
Admission procedure:
Candidate can get application form from college office and need to submit the form before due date. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of percentage of marks which are obtained by candidate in higher secondary examination. Admission to post graduate level is done as per rule of Gujarat University.
General Information:
The college offers undergraduate courses in BA (Hons) sociology, BA (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) psychology, BA (Hons) Hindi, BA (Hons) Gujarati, BA (Hons) English, BA (Hons) Economics and for post-graduation MA psychology. The college provides facilities like playground, Digital English language laboratory, gents and ladies hostel, computer room, audio visual hall, psychology lab, assembly hall, and library. Library has more than thirty thousand books and many reading rooms. The college campus is equipped with core sound system.
