Christ College Bangalore

Christ College which is also known as Christ University was established in 1969, by the fathers of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate. The college is now managed by CMI. The said trust runs around 30 colleges, 400 schools and few hospitals in various cities of India. The Christ College was given status of deemed university in late 2008. The college is situated over huge area of 25 acres which is in turn part of the Dharmaram College campus comprising 100 acres. The college is located at the heart of Bangalore city.

Few programme offering by college
The college offers various under graduate and post graduate programmes which have been recognized nationally and internationally. Some faculties in which such programmes offered are as follows: Business Administration, Management, Law, Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences and Commerce. Additionally, it also offers other professional courses in few fields like Hotel Management, Computer Application, Mass Communication, Engineering, Tourism, Social work and Business Management. 

Excellence!
The college has been recognized by University Grant Commission. One thing that should be noted here is that, it was one of the first very few colleges, which volunteered for assessment and was accredited by NAAC. The university was re-accredited in 2005. It is also the first college in Karnataka to get accredited by NAAC for quality education. Currently college has highest “A+” rating by NAAC for overall quality and has also been recognized as college with potential for excellence.

After all its world record!
The Christ College also has one world records registered on its name. In early 2011, college students achieved the largest human beatbox ensemble in which 1246 participants were involved.Before this record was achieved, college students tried to make similar record for Limca book; results of which are eagerly awaited by the college students.
