Guru Ghasidas University

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is the Central University of India, situated in Bilaspur, established under the Central Universities Act-2009. Previously called as the GGU (Guru Ghasidas University), this University was recognized by the Act of State Legislative Assembly, and was officially launched on June 16 1983. GGU is very active member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities) and ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities). The NAAC (National Assessment & Accreditation Council) has attributed this University with B+ grade. Located in the socially as well as economically challenged area; this university is properly named to honor a great Satnami Saint named Guru Ghasidas (17th century). He was championed the source of downtrodden and waged the ruthless struggle against all kinds of injustice and social evils existing in society. This University is an inhabited cum affiliating institute, having the jurisdiction spread over the Bilaspur Revenue Division in state of Chhattisgarh.

The GGU (Guru Ghasidas University) has recognized the superior state-of-art Computer Centre well equipped with the latest hardware machines and software versions. The Computer centre offers central facility for development and growth of teaching, administration, research, finance, examination and other significant cells of University. The compute centre has numerous versions of Windows and UNIX operating system. Encircled by the gorgeous green boundaries of the trees, the computer centre is having in excess of 80 terminals having UNIX, Linux, and Windows Operating Systems as the Servers.
