About the University
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) has been promoted by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC). The University (PDPU) was established in 2007 in the state of Gujarat. The founder of the University is the Chairperson of Reliance Industries Mr. Mukesh Ambani. University offers different courses in management studies mainly focusing the Oil and Gas field. The Aim of University is to research in the field of Gas and Oil and develops the new techniques. The school of petroleum technology also offers the programme of B. Tech in Petroleum Engineering, which is a four year degree programme. This B. Tech programme of university was approved by AICT. B. Tech programme is available in three Fields of Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil.
Eligibility
The minimum qualification requires for B. tech programme is 12th i.e., in 10+2 teaching scheme with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects. And minimum 60% is required. EE/AIEEE/BITSAT/State level entrance test scores are also necessary to eligible for the admission process. The candidates who completed Diploma are eligible for direct second year (DSE) admission process which is carried by the board.
Documents for Admission
Documents require for admission are given below
1. School leaving certificate
2. 10th and 12th mark sheet
3. Medical certificate only for Physical Challenged Candidates
4. Cast certificate if applicable
Original copies of all these documents are requires at the time of Admission.
Assignments
Assignments are very important for the internal evaluation and for the grading of the marks. Students who get the admission in the University are mandatory to complete assignments which are related to the programme subjects. The assignments will be provided by concern subject teacher or faculties.
