Punjab technical University commonly known as PTU has formed at Jalandhar in16th Jan1997 for advancement of technical Education. Punjab technical university has offered various branches in B-Tech like Mechanical, information technology, Civil, Applied electronics and instrumentation, food technology, Computer science and technology, Electrical engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Agricultural Engineering. PTU is estimated by UGC act. All colleges are approved by AICTE and PTU is also member of Association of Indian Universities.PTU won two 1st prizes awards in 2010 BY IT department under ministry of communication And IT, Government of India at Hyderabad. The University has 2.5 lakh of student approx. per year.
Eligibility:
Student must complete his 10+2 examination with Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Student who completed his Diploma in engineering can also eligible for the admission. (85% seats are reserved for Punjab candidates and 15% for all students other than India.)
Project work:
The B.Tech student are complete his project in their final year of the degree course. Student will choose his topic as per branch of their study. Students also take help from his faculty teacher to complete his project with specific date of submission.
Communication and Soft Skill:
Student takes subject of communication and soft skill that include communicative English, presentation skill, etc.
Eligibility criteria:
Student who completed diploma in engineering with 50% marks in aggregate are (for SC/ST 40%) are also eligible for admission. Particular student’s awards in sports, cultures are also consider while admission.
