Department of Chemistry invites applications for admission to its three-year M.Tech. course on “Chemical Synthesis and Process Technologies”
For the academic year 2011-12
Application form can be obtain from the office of the Head, Department of chemistry, University of Delhi on all working days between 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. on cash payment of Rs. 250/-. Application form can also be downloaded from the University website: http://www.du.ac.in or can be obtained by post on remitting a Bank Draft of Rs.250/- in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at State Bank of India Service Branch, New Delhi (Code no. 7687). Application form downloaded from the website can be deposited in the Department of Chemistry along with a Bank Draft of Rs.250/- in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi. Draft must be purchased only from the branches of State Bank of India.
Scholarship: All students admitted to the course shall be provided scholarship of Rs.3000/- p.m. during 1st semester and will continue of the duration of the course only to those students who maintains over 60% marks from 1st semester onwards.
Total No. of Seats: 20
* 50% seats will be filled up on the basis of merit based on marks obtained by the candidates who have secured 60% or above marks in aggregate and 60% or above marks in Chemistry in B.Sc. (Hons.) Course Examination or 70% or above marks in aggregate and 70% or above marks in Chemistry in B.Sc. Programme, B.Sc. General, from University of Delhi. Candidate must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent examination recognized by the University of Delhi with Mathematics.
* 50% seats will be filled up on the basis of merit based on marks obtaianed by the candidate in the Joint Admission Test (JAM) to M.Sc. Chemistry, conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

The University of Delhi is a central university situated in Delhi, India and is funded by Government of India. Established in 1922, it offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate level. Vice-President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari is the Chancellor of the university. It has been ranked 371 in the whole world in the year 2010 by the THES - QS world universities ranking. The university has two campuses, namely north campus and south campus in the northern and southern part of the city respectively. The north campus is well connected with the yellow line of the Delhi Metro. The station is called Vishwavidyalaya, which means "university" in Hindi and Sanskrit. North campus is about 2.5 km from Delhi Vidhan Sabha and 7.0 km from ISBT.
