Admissions Procedure:
a. Admission will be based on the qualifying examination (50%) and the entrance test to be conducted by the University (50%).
b. For the computation of qualifying examination marks, the first 5 Semesters will be taken into account for the candidates awaiting final Semester results. Candidates with one arrear paper will also be allowed to take the entrance exam on condition that the marks secured in the failed paper will be taken into account.
c. However, when a student fails to satisfy the eligibility criteria after the publication of final Semester results he/she is automatically dropped out of the course without any claim over the fee remitted. The fee remitted once will not be refunded.

Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is a university in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was hived off the Madurai Kamaraj University and was declared open by the then (and current) chief minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi on September 9, 1990.
The motto of the University is "In Pursuit of Excellence". It is named after the Tamil poet and dramatist Manonmaniam Sundaram Pillai. The university has 26 departments in art, languages, sciences, engineering and technology. 102 colleges in the Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari districts are affiliated to it.
