BITS Pilani Dubai – BE Admission

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science is one of India’s first universities to establish a campus outside India. The BITS international campus is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. ETA Ascon Start Group along with BITS Pilani set up the Dubai campus in September 2000. The BITS Dubai campus was established in order to fulfill the educational needs of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. However candidates from other countries can also apply. More than one thousand four hundred students have graduated from Birla Institute of Technology Dubai. BITS Dubai offers courses at the master’s level and undergraduate level in various streams including Biotechnology, chemical, electronics and telecommunication, computer science and software systems. Students are inducted into BITS Dubai solely on the basis of their merit. A candidate’s merit is computed based on his/her aggregate percentage in his /her standard twelve examinations. The basic eligibility criteria for applying to BITS Dubai is a minimum aggregate of sixty percent marks in Math, Chemistry and Physics. Candidates who are not from English medium schools need to take TOEFL examination and score a minimum of 500 marks in it. The same needs to be submitted during the application phase. Candidates need to fill up an application form and submit the application form along with appropriate enclosures to BITS Dubai. The application form is available online at BITS Dubai’s website or can be personally collected from BITS Dubai Campus. Candidates need to attach score report of any competitive exams if appeared along with TOEFL score, passport copy, proof of date of birth, grade 10th mark sheet and grade 12th or equivalent mark sheet. Candidates also need to enclose a demand draft drawn in favor of ETA-Network of Education and Training worth AED 200 payable at Dubai. Upon the submission of the application form each candidate is given a unique Application Number. The application is scrutinized and a list of candidates who granted admission based on merit is put up.
