Delhi University Admission
One of the prime universities of the country is the Delhi University. It has made its place among the giants of education for its high standard of education in teaching and research, which attracts prominent intellectual to its faculty. Central Legislative Assembly was the one who established Delhi University in the year 1922. The President, Vice President and the Chief Justice of Supreme Court are some of the eminent members of the university.

Since its inception, a strong pledge towards excellence in research and education has made a different identity of this university. Rest of the university is following the footsteps of Delhi University. Its world standard of education has always attracted intellectual students of the country who later on contributed in the growth and development of the country.

In the year, 1922 when Delhi University came into existence only three other colleges existed at that time St. Stephen’s college, Hindu college and Ramdas College. All those colleges consequently affiliated to Delhi University. University had the modest beginning comparing to the other university around the country with just 3 colleges and just 750 students. In 1933, University library shifted to the Viceregal Lodge Estate, and even today, some of the administrative functions handled from this place. Delhi University has grown with tremendous pace and now this university is top most university of the country. Today it has 16 faculties, 86 departments, 77 colleges and 5 other recognized institutes all over the country. With over 132435 students enrolled under PG and UG programme.

Five departments of the university Chemistry, Zoology, Sociology, History and Geology have received the status of “Center of Advanced Studies”. This department has received such title due to the contribution made in teaching and research work in the respective areas. Today, university has 15 big libraries apart from libraries in college.
