VIT University Admission

Most of the people know VIT University as Vellore Institute of Technology. It is located in the city Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India.  VIT offers 15 undergraduate and 30 postgraduate programs, which runs under nine schools with major emphasis on engineering and technology and has 13 research centers with various disciplines which includes Product design, Manufacturing, Energy, Rapid Prototyping, Information Technology, Nanotechnology and Biomedical Research. The main aim of the university is to provide quality higher education with international standard. University continuously looks for innovative methods to improve the quality of education on a regular basis. VIT University has six schools of excellence that provides the best possible education and research and learning process.

The ranking on VIT is continuously improving. According to Times of India, the university comes in the 10th position among the top 15 engineering universities. As per India Today, VIT is among the top 15 engineering universities continuously holds its ranking four years in a row. According to Plugged and outlook, VIT held sixth and seventh position respectively among the best private engineering college of the country.

VIT University is divided into two since railway track passes through the campus. The campus is situated in Katpadi Ranipet state highway. On the south of the campus, the entire academic portion and women’s hostel is located and on the north boys hostel and university outdoor stadium. University offers large number of sporting facilities includes athletic track and field stadium, two swimming pools, tennis courts, football ground, and basketball court.

To take admission on VIT students need to appear in the entrance examination VITEEE that is conducted around in the month of April every year. Based on entrance marks merit list is prepared for completing admission process. For entrance in Management Programme aspirants need to appear in CAT (Common Admission Test) and other equivalent tests are considered.
