Banaras Hindu University BHU MA AdmissionsThe Banaras University is the famous and oldest universities in India. The main Moto of this university is to produce the most efficient students. The university has developed from its origin till now. The university consist two campuses. There are more than 15 facilities three institutes and more than 135 departments. This university also has the facility of hostels. There are total 60 hostels made for girls and boys together. Girls share 17 hostels while boys share 43 hostels. There is separate recommendation for teaching staff and non- teaching staffs. There are 1216 rooms built for teaching and non teaching staff members. The influence of this university is spread across India as well as all over the world. The university also accommodates foreign students. More than 35 nation’s students come to this university for education purposes.
Eligibility for Master in Art:
The candidate must obtain more than 60% marks in last year of Bachelor’s Degree. He should pass the entrance exam with more than 60%. The candidate can choose English or Hindi medium to have a Master Degree in Arts field.
Syllabus for Master of Arts:
Sem1 India English- Literature part 1
Sem2 Indian English-Literature part 2
Sem3 20th century British-Literature part 1
Sem4 20th century British-Literature part2
Each paper will be of 100 marks and will be divided into two sections namely theory and oral. Marks will be distributed as 80 and 20 respectively. Further the orals will be divided into two types namely core paper which has 10 marks and home assignments which has 10 marks.
Admission Process for Master in Arts:
The candidate will be provided the forms and college broacher. The forms must be filled by the candidate and must be submitted within 15 days with his Bachelor’s Degree final mark sheet.
