Delhi University MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science Entrance Test

The University of Delhi is a central university which is located in Delhi, and has two campuses in different parts of Delhi. The university is funded by the Government of India. The university was established in1922 and offers all courses on graduate and post graduate level. The current vide-president of India, Mr. Mohammad Hamid Ansari is currently sitting in the chair of Hon. Chancellor of University. The university is not only famous in India but it also has received 371th rank among all the universities in the world by THES - QS world universities ranking in the year 2010. Due to the quality of courses and other amenities offered by university, many students are getting attracted towards it and thus it is little tough, getting admission to various courses offered by university.

However, due to this situation, University of Delhi conducts an entrance test for almost all the courses, which is followed by interview in some cases. Delhi University conducts entrance test for both MCA as well as M.Sc. Computer Science courses. The test basically has two parts. One part deals with quantitative and mathematical ability and other deals with deductive and logical ability.

The first section of the exam comprises of questions on calculus, algebra, geometry (2D as well as 3D), statistics, linear programming and real analysis whereas other section consists of problem solving, algorithms, flow charts and interpretation of data. Depending upon the result of this exam, admission is given to the candidates for the said courses. The admission is strictly given on the basis of merit. Only some seats are reserved for the students from reserved categories. Also students are required to have minimum 60% marks aggregate in their respective graduation courses failing to obtain which a student will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
