Delhi University MCA Admission

The university of Delhi or DU is a university situated in Central Delhi and is funded by Government of India. Being established back in 1922, it is one of the oldest universities in India. The Delhi University offers courses both at graduate and post-graduate levels. The university has been ranked 371 all over world by THES - QS world universities ranking. Delhi University provides all types of courses self-financing like B.Sc. IT as well as government aided courses such as B.Com. It has two campuses located at different locations.

Being one of the best universities in India, getting admission in Delhi University is little tougher.

Eligibility criteria for MCA admission
Only those candidates can appear for the entrance test, which have passed B.Sc. under 10+2+3 educational system from any recognized university from India and have minimum 60% in every vital exam. 

Students appearing for the final year exam of bachelor’s degree can also appear for the test.

Procedure one should follow –

Application form and information brochure of entrance exam can be purchased from department. Candidates have to pay Rs. 800 (in case of general category) and Rs. 400 (in case of reserved category) while purchasing the form in the form of DD. DD should be drawn in the favor of Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at New Delhi. The university cannot be held responsible for any postal delays or postal loss.

Candidates can also get the application form delivered by post, but to avail this facility, one has to send an application with a DD in a stamped envelope with self address written on it. This application should be sent to the address “Office–In charge, Room No.113, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, University of Delhi, Delhi -110007”.

The entrance exam is designed so as to evaluate candidate’s knowledge of English language and verbal ability, current affairs and general knowledge, data interpretation, logical reasoning, quantitative & mathematical aptitude and understanding of comprehension.
