Presidency College is previously known as the Hindu Collage. The Hindu college was founded in the year of 1817 and after few years it was renamed as Presidency College. Government took the control of collage in 1855. Presidency College offers both under graduate and post graduat e programmes. Collage also has A+ grading from the NAAC. Presidency College is known as one of the best science collage in the Kolkata as well as it provides other quality courses. Presidency collage has around 14.5 acres of campus area which is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Collage has very good infrastructure with different building for the different purposes like for the Laboratory, Library, Canteen, Gymkhana, Hostel etc.

For the admission of BA in collage, candidates must have to pass the 12th examination under 10+2 education scheme from any recognized university in India with minimum of 55% marks. Few subjects in 12th examination are compulsory for the eligibility for BA.
Admission Procedure:
Admissions for the BA are carried out as per the merit list which is obtained from the 12th examination marks. Application forms for the admission are available on the website of the collage or candidates can get it from the admission office of the collage. Students need to submit application form with valid documents before the last date of submission. Late forms will not be accepted at any condition.
