St. Xavier’s was established in the year 1860 AD and is currently 150yr old college. This college was established with the aim of providing education for backward class students of all religion. With the student of only 83 during establishment, currently college has more than 6000 students. College right from its establishment offers number of courses in different level in fields of Science, Commerce, Education, Arts and Business Administration.
There are 3 different shifts under which the colleges offers its studies. In the morning there will be only boys section, whereas in afternoon and evening will be for both boys and girls. This college is being UGC granted and has been given the power of autonomy.
