Jai Hind College was founded in 1948 and is located at ‘A’, Road Churchgate, Mumbai, India. The college wasstarted by a small group of teachers who were working at Karachi. Initially the Jai HindCollegewas started as ascience and arts college, but after few years it added new subjects and courses. In 1980 college added commerce faculty, Computer science;Bachelor in Management Studieswere added in 1999. In 2002 Biotechnology and Business of mass media was introducedwhile Banking and insurance was introduced in 2003. The college has total five thousand students approximately and seventy five faculties. 

Jai Hind College has following departments: - Department of economics, English, Hindi, French, Physics, Biotechnology, Botany, Computer science, Environmental studies, accountancy, Law, Life science, Philosophy, Microbiology, History, political science, chemistry, and psychology.
